Frequently asked questions
About ISO 9001:2026 Transition, its certificate and enrolment.
Ask SterlingIt is for people who already work in an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system: quality managers and QMS teams, top management, internal auditors and process owners of certified organisations. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 is expected. People new to ISO 9001 should start with ISO 9001:2026 Awareness Training instead; the two courses are separate, with separate certificates.
It covers what changed and what did not; quality culture and ethical behaviour; risks, opportunities and the planning of changes; climate change, the new wording on documented information and the other clause-level changes; and a practical path to migrate, from gap assessment and planning to internal audit, management review and the transition audit.
The course is one video of about 30 minutes, followed by a short final quiz. Most learners complete it in one sitting, and with 12 months of access they can return to it while planning their transition.
Yes. Learners who reach the 70% pass mark in the final quiz receive a Sterling Academy Certificate of Completion for ISO 9001:2026 Transition Training. Each certificate carries a unique number and a QR code, and anyone can check it online using the certificate number and the holder's surname. It states that the learner has attended and successfully completed Transition Training on ISO 9001:2026, Quality Management System (QMS).
Yes. ISO 9001:2026 Transition Training is a self-paced online course: one video in English with captions, followed by a short final quiz. You have 12 months of access, and if a point is unclear, questions are answered by a Sterling consultant.
ISO 9001:2026 Transition Training is free, for one learner or a whole team. Send an enquiry from the course page and Sterling enrols your learners promptly. Client administrators can track their team's progress.
No. The Certificate of Completion is a training certificate: it shows that one person completed ISO 9001:2026 Transition Training and reached the pass mark in its final quiz. It is not certification of an organisation to ISO 9001:2026, and Sterling does not certify organisations. Your certification body carries out the transition audit; ask it how and when that audit runs. This course prepares your team for it.
No. The 2026 edition introduces no new mandatory documented information, and there is no need to rename existing documents. It uses new wording, such as "available" and "available as evidence", and the course explains the documents you will probably update, such as those touched by quality culture, risks and opportunities, planning of changes and climate change.
Assessment & completion
Learners who complete the course and its final exam receive a numbered Sterling Academy Certificate of Completion with online QR verification.
This records course completion. It does not confer ISO certification or a professional auditor qualification.
